Therapy in Greenville, SC, Centered on Healing, Belonging & Becoming

Hi! I am so happy you are here. Becoming Therapy of Greenville is a private practice founded by Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Gloria Babb. It is centered on the idea that therapy can be a space where people reconnect with themselves, heal old wounds, and grow into who they are becoming.

With a warm, compassionate, and person-centered approach, Becoming Therapy of Greenville supports clients navigating trauma, depression, self-esteem, grief, relationship estrangement, abortion, family-of-origin experiences and struggles, infertility, cultural and belonging wounds, including experiences related to the Hispanic diaspora, acculturation, racism, and prejudice.

Meet Gloria

Becoming Therapy of Greenville isn't about fixing symptoms. It's centered on helping people understand their stories, reclaim their sense of self, and discover who they are becoming.

My practice is, as I am, deeply human and relational. I want my clients to feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood instead of feeling judged or hurried.

Belonging is central to my philosophy. I recognize how rejection, estrangement, family wounds, culture, identity, and experiences of not feeling connected can shape a person's sense of self and identity.

Bilingual Therapy in English & Spanish

I am a bilingual therapist and provide therapy in both English and Spanish.

My bilingual and multicultural perspective allows me to recognize experiences that may not always be fully understood in traditional therapy settings. I bring warmth into the practice so that therapy feels a little less clinical and more like a safe, genuine human space where vulnerability is respected.

Behind her, a sign reads "Coffee Bar," and the background includes a coffee machine and other equipment.

ā€œBecoming is not about changing who you are. It is about gently returning to the person you were always meant to be.ā€

Gently Finding Your Way Back to Yourself

My guiding light within Becoming Therapy of Greenville is that I'm not asking clients to become someone they're not.

I'm helping my clients uncover the parts of themselves that may have been buried by trauma, shame, rejection, expectations, loss, or survival.

Becoming Therapy of Greenville is about gently finding your way back to yourself.

"I Am Safe Here. I Am Welcome Here. I Don't Have to Pretend."

When you enter here, you enter a safe space.

Through soothing sounds, calming scents, soft lighting, and gentle tones, I hope you feel welcomed, hopeful, comforted, empowered, and a sense of belonging.

Whenever you visit or connect with us online, we strive to create a feeling of relief and a quiet knowing that you have found a place where you can simply be.

A place where you feel welcomed, seen, safe, and deeply human. A place where your story is honored, your vulnerability is held with care, and you never have to shrink yourself to belong.

Your Story Isn't Finished

More than anything, I hope clients leave with a little more hope than they arrived with.

I want them to feel that healing is possible, that their story is not finished, and that somewhere along the way, they can begin finding their way back to themselves.

This is the heart of Becoming: not becoming someone else, but gradually becoming more fully who you were meant to be, with resilience, self-love, hope, and empowerment.
